Privacy policy
Updated August 30, 2026 · Version 1.2
1. Controller and contacts
Untilora is developed and published by Ciuskate. For privacy or data-use questions, email ciuskate.apps@gmail.com. For app support, email support.ciuskate@gmail.com.
2. Summary
Untilora works without an account or Ciuskate-operated servers. It contains no advertising, analytics, profiling or tracking. Products, expiry dates and preferences remain on the device. The app communicates directly over the network only when you choose an Open Facts lookup or load a product image from that network. If you prepare a report, Untilora hands it to your email app and nothing is sent until you confirm it.
3. On-device data
The app may locally store product names, brands, barcodes, quantities, categories, expiry dates, Open Facts image sources, drafts, language and appearance preferences, sorting and reminder settings, local notification identifiers, and up to 100 cached Open Facts results. Ciuskate does not receive this archive and cannot access it remotely.
4. Camera and notifications
Camera frames are processed on the device only to recognize barcodes. Untilora does not take, save or upload photos. Notifications are scheduled locally and no remote push token is used. Both permissions are optional: manual entry works without camera access, and the archive works without notifications.
5. Optional Open Facts lookup
When you search by EAN or UPC, Untilora sends the barcode, the selected Italian or English language, and an app identifier containing its name, version and developer contact to Open Facts over HTTPS. The provider also receives standard connection data, such as the IP address and request headers, and may retain it under its own policies. Ciuskate does not use it for identification, profiling, advertising or analytics.
Untilora performs read-only requests to Open Food Facts, Open Products Facts, Open Beauty Facts and Open Pet Food Facts. It does not create accounts, edit databases or upload content. Images are accepted only from trusted Open Facts HTTPS domains. See the Open Facts terms and licences.
6. Export
Export creates a text copy on the device only when requested. You choose the receiving app, destination and recipient, whose terms then apply. Imported text replaces local data only after confirmation.
7. Voluntary problem report
When you choose Report a problem, Untilora creates an on-device report containing the app version and build, execution environment, device model and operating system, language and theme, permission states, network type, and the selected operation and symptom. It may include up to the last eight intercepted failures, stored only as an operation code, technical error code and timestamp. It does not automatically read or include product names, barcodes, expiry dates, images or backups.
You can add a description, reproduction steps and expected result. These fields contain only what you choose to type. A complete preview is shown before opening a new editable and cancellable email addressed to support.ciuskate@gmail.com. Nothing is sent automatically. If you send it, Ciuskate and the email provider also receive normal message data, including your email address.
8. Retention and deletion
Products and drafts remain until deleted, replaced by an import or removed with the app. Notifications remain until delivered or cancelled. The cache stores no more than 100 results and rejects entries older than 365 days. Diagnostic history is limited to eight local events and can be cleared from the report or with Delete all. Support emails are retained only as long as needed to investigate and resolve the request.
You can delete individual products, use Settings → Delete all, revoke permissions, export a copy, clear the app's system data or uninstall the app. Ciuskate cannot remotely retrieve or erase data that exists only on your device.
9. Choices, security and rights
Online lookup, camera, notifications, export and support reporting are separate optional functions; refusing one limits only that function. No general consent is required on first launch. External requests use HTTPS and trusted Open Facts domains, and imported or remote data is validated and size-limited. You can access, correct, export and delete local data using the app. For privacy questions or deletion of support reports held by Ciuskate, email ciuskate.apps@gmail.com. Requests about technical data held by Open Facts must be addressed to the relevant operator.
10. Changes
This policy will be updated if features, external services or processing practices change.
